Day 5 – Anime character you feel you are most like (or wish you were)

Day 5 is finally here.

Concerning the challenge for today, I’ve always compared myself to other anime characters when I watch anime. Right last night I was watching Durarara, and I thought that my personality was similar to the main character, Mikado Ryugamine. Otherwise known as the shy and innocent (it depends on sometimes) character. But Mikado isn’t the character I feel I’m most like, a part of his character is just a small part of my personality since I’m, of course real (I will never say that again. It hurts).

Here is the anime character I feel I’m most like:

My Naruto bishie~

Shikamaru Nara from Naruto is the character I feel I’m most like. I’m not saying I’m intelligent, but his calm and lazy personality is definitely something I can relate to. For this challenge, before ultimately deciding on Shikamaru, I searched on the net for anime quizzes that could figure out who I mostly resembled and came up with these results:

Bijou from Hamtaro:

Anise Tatlin from Tales of the Abyss

and Fuu Hououji from Magic knight rayearth:

Fuu

Funny thing is, I resemble her at 60% and Kenshin Himura at 40%.

As for a character that I wish I were, that is a bit hard to answer, since I don’t want to be someone already there. But then I thought about my childhood: everyone in their childhood wanted to be a certain someone, so who was the person I wanted to be? My answer:

Guess who between the beauties?

The character I wished I were was Sailor Mars. The sassy character, very pretty, outspoken and a magical girl. What more does a girl want?

Day 4 – Anime you’re ashamed you enjoyed

And here is Day 4!

Most of my friends aren’t anime fans or aren’t as obsessed about it as I am, which is very unfortunate, seeing that anime is a big part of my everyday life. My friends are the ones who believe that anime isn’t interesting and that there’s no point in being attracted to it. They also think that every anime has violence and sexual situations: The big and ugly stereotypes that we anime/manga lovers cringe when we hear others say that.

I always try my best to convince them that anime isn’t as bad as it looks: I’ve tried comparing it to when rock music was popular among teenagers a long time ago and that most parents would not accept it. Look at how rock music today has evolved: It’s everywhere and, even if it’s not liked by most people, the general view people had on it changed.

It’ll be a while before I succeed in convincing them…

Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan (Club-to-death angel Dokuro-chanis the anime I’m ashamed I have enjoyed. It has every big anime stereotype known to men such as violence, sexual situations and randomness without any ‘intelligent’ plot. Nevertheless, that didn’t stop me from watching it. And loving it.

This image has not been modified in any way. Seriously.

…Err yeah.

Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan 03That wasn’t pretty to watch.

It may seem like a bad anime, but it was very fun to watch. The characters were all agreeable, even if Dokuro-chan was a bit annoying… >_>

I might be embarrassed to talk about it in real life, but when the day comes that my anime-hating friends will be able to accept my hobby in some way, I won’t hesitate to show them this anime.

Can’t wait ’till Day 14~

Day 3 – Your anime crush

Since it’s officially Day 3 where I’m currently at, I’ve decided to already add Day 3 to the list.

This “Day” was difficult for me since I’m known by my anime-loving friends as a bishie addict (meaning someone who adores handsome anime/manga males). So to choose randomly out of my long list of bishonen just one male was impossible.

To make this Day easier, I’ve made a top five! >:D It was still painful for me, but I’ve managed somehow to cope up with it. Please bear it with me~

Number 5:

This wouldn’t be a bishie list without him.

My third childhood crush, Kurama from Yu Yu Hakusho (just after Ash from Pokemon and Son Goku from Dragonball Z). The, um, most feminine male who is in my top 5.

I don’t remember how he came to be one of my first anime crushes, but he was the first one to become number one in my list. Even today I still can’t get over him and I keep promising myself to get at least an anime goodie with his face on it.

He doesn’t seem too happy about being number 5…

Number 4:

Takeshi Yamamoto. Hard choice.

Every girl that has watched (or read) Katekyoshi Hitman Reborn knows that there is a large choice of bishonen in the anime. I could of made it easier for me to put them all in the list, but it wouldn’t be an intelligent decision in my opinion.

Tsuna, Gokudera and the others share some big space on my list, but my favorite out of them is Yamamoto, since he’s a very carefree and happy-go-lucky character. I didn’t choose him for his appearance, but for his personality that brightens the worse of situations in the anime.

I’m gonna watch Reborn! after this.

Number 3:

If he was real I would kidnap him without hesitation.

Yu Kanda from D.Gray-man. The first time I saw his character in the manga, I was like, “Hey! That’s my FMA Original Character as a boy!” it wasn’t love at first sight but more like curiosity. I wanted to learn more about him and the cliffhanger at the end of the first volume didn’t help me at all. Lucky for me a good friend (and fellow Tyki addict) lent me the other volumes. I already fell for his character in the second volume.

I’m not a fan of cold characters such as him, but… it happened.

Goodness! I’ve only been talking about the manga. I haven’t watched all the episodes of the anime yet…

Number 2:

Try to resist this Gintama fangirls. I dare you!

Gintoki…He’s the funniest character I’ve ever known. In his awesome moments, I always swoon over him to the point I embarrass myself. The worst thing is even in his stupid moments my love for him keeps growing.

He’s number two thanks to his indescribable character…well, not indescribable, but one second he can be his lazy, evil, straight-forward or girlish(consisting of being unable to sleep because of a nightmare or cross-dressing as a big-chested girl named Paako) self and the other second very heroic and appreciative.

Other fun fact: He’s the only character (other than L) over 20 years old in my bishie list.

Number 2 isn’t bad, isn’t it?

Number 1:

Number 1Most of the posters in my room have his face on them.

Number one, ladies and gentlemen, is none other than Edward Elric from Full Metal Alchemist (my favorite manga). The only one who has remained in my favorite number one for more than five years! Even if he’s hot-headed, a show-off and, short, I adore him for constantly showing his human side in the anime/manga.

Ten years laterEdward at age 18~

And there you have it! I can finally breathe again. I’m amazed I’ve even done that. Time to dance!

Next one soon?
